At AM Zeeland, we believe in the boundless possibilities of our beautiful region. There are plenty of growth opportunities; we just have to seize them. And we can, provided we work together. That is why we are an enthusiastic partner of OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen.

The honor of writing the first blog is mine. I am Ellen van Troost, and since the beginning of this year, I have been the project secretary of OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen. In 2003, I returned to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen with my husband and daughters. I had left the region at eighteen to study in Leiden. After my studies, I moved to Rotterdam. Twenty years in Leiden and Rotterdam were a wonderful adventure. Our children grew up in an old city neighborhood as true Rotterdammers, and we enjoyed the cultural life in the Randstad.

Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is in your blood and never leaves you. My desire to return grew stronger and stronger. It took some effort to convince my husband—who is also from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen—but the decision was made. Almost twenty years later, I can say it was a very good decision. By moving here, I was able to further develop myself. To my surprise, everything I did in the city I could also do here. In fact, there were even more opportunities for me here, because I could put my work experience from the city to good use and build on it further. A very creative period began for me. With my own business and a holiday cottage that we rented out. So I have personally experienced the slogan of OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen, and now I get to do so again with this wonderful new job as project secretary of OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen.
