No, unfortunately (yet) no train

As one of the few regions in the Netherlands, we do not have a train. This is a major wish of all Zeeuws-Vlamingen: a connection to train services to the Netherlands and Belgium. We are working towards this. There are plans for a train connection between Terneuzen and Ghent. But unfortunately, it is not that far yet. Until then, you can travel by bus to your destination or to the nearest train stations in Belgium, Brabant, or the upper Zeeland islands.

Traveling through Zeeland is improving. As a supplement to the bus, train, and ferry, Zeeland is introducing flexible transport. This means there will be more options for traveling through Zeeland in the evenings and on weekends. Zeeland villages and towns will then be more accessible.
In 2025, the Province of Zeeland will start with this new system. We call this public transport. This means that soon you will choose your ideal journey. This journey consists of a smart mix of transport options to get to your destination. On Schouwen-Duiveland, the Flex is already running.
