There’s something to do for everyone!
Many festivals and events are organized in all three municipalities. You can find a comprehensive overview on the websites of the three municipalities: Hulst , Terneuzen and Sluis. The event calendar shows exactly what’s happening and when, so you don’t have to miss a thing! Several Belgian nightclubs are also just a stone’s throw from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
Festivals, theater, music, and events
The Scheldetheater in Terneuzen and the Ledeltheater in Oostburg offer many musical performances every year. In the summer months, you’ll also find major festivals in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, such as VESTROCK, De Ballade, and Weitjerock. Not only do bigger acts take the stage here, but regional bands also get the chance to show what they’re made of. The Festival van Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is a staple on the Zeeland cultural calendar and at the same time a ‘cultural flagship’ and ambassador for the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen region.
In addition, you’ll find numerous smaller festivals and (often free) events throughout the year in our region! Ranging from music and theater to culinary, boergondic and folkloric festivities. It’s clear that Zeeuws-Vlaanderen has a vibrant and diverse festival culture that attracts visitors from far and wide!
Film lovers and sports fans
In Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, we have two cinemas: the largest in Hulst and a smaller one in the Ledeltheater in Oostburg. Sports enthusiasts can indulge in the various (major) sporting events we have here. The highlight in the coming period is, of course, the World Cyclocross Championship at the end of January 2026, which will take place in Hulst. Don’t forget the annual walking and running marathon! Local sports clubs also have recurring competitions every year.
