"Why leave a place that has everything good to offer you?"

Hi everyone, I’m Guus de Bakker. Born and raised in Terneuzen, 29 years old, and living here with my girlfriend.
 
I’d love to share my love for Zeeuws-Vlaanderen with you, starting in Terneuzen. As a little boy, I went to school here, made friends, found work, and never left. Why leave a place that has everything good to offer you? 

Besides the short commute, I can really enjoy my free time in Terneuzen. I love going to a nice restaurant, a cozy café, getting some fresh air by the Schelde, or boating on the creek. Terneuzen also has a lot of culture. I enjoy going to the theater for a show or concert.
 
Terneuzen; centrally located in beautiful Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, and that’s perfect! The winding polder roads in the east of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen are never far away, ideal for wonderful motorcycle rides. The beach in the west is also just a stone’s throw away. And those just happen to be two of my biggest hobbies.
 
What also appeals to me is that bigger cities like Ghent and Middelburg are less than half an hour from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. After a day of shopping and strolling with some food and drinks, I can still relax in peace and space.
 
In short, I really love living here in Terneuzen. It has so much to offer me, both for work and my private life. Here, I find the vibrancy of a city and the peace and space of a village all in one.
 
Still not convinced why I’m in love with Zeeuws-Vlaanderen? Then just ask the many tourists who come here every year to escape the hustle and bustle.
