Thanks to the diverse network, the ability arises to anticipate the needs and challenges of the region. This means that action can be taken flexibly and swiftly, and projects can be initiated that directly respond to the specific challenges facing Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
 

What does the OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen network mean to you?

The network ensures that the challenges we face in our region are made discussable and are approached from a broad perspective. This makes the network decisive and an important discussion partner for governments and other stakeholders.
 

Unlimited possibilities of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen?

Thinking beyond borders is what we strive for with the network. Surrounded by the Western Scheldt and Flanders, we can speak of a location unique by Dutch standards. As a region, we must capitalize on this location by creating more opportunities and focusing less on its limitations.
 

How do you see your role and ambition within OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen?

Ensuring a better business climate for companies and residents is, in my view, an important task. This is one of the key requirements to maintain and secure the level of facilities in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen for the future.
 

What do you consider important for Zeeuws-Vlaanderen?

We must handle the quality of the rural area with care. In addition, there must be sufficient space for a strong economy and a good living environment for both permanent and recreational residents. I would personally be very pleased with a good public transport network both within Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and in connection with the rest of the Netherlands and, of course, Flanders.
 

Why should people come to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen?

The good life! The peace and space we have in this region are unique. Nevertheless, there is plenty of employment in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and across the border in Flanders. Housing is affordable and the nearby big cities never cease to amaze. In short, just do it!
